Patrick took note that his Aunt Stephanie, thanks to the liquor, seemed to be giving off hints that theirs was more than a mother / son relationship... the kiss, the hand to the face, admitting that James had seen boobs (did she mean he had seen hers?), even wearing that revealing bikini was a hint that she was comfortable with James ogling her.
They all took a drink out to the pool and stepped to the edge. All but Patrick actually stepped into the pool. He told them all that he didn't have a suit at his mom's house and said - if it was okay - he would just wear his boxers.
"See?" Stephanie said to James. "I told you it would be okay if you just wore boxers."
